Designed to facilitate optimal positioning of a chest fairing. The Cargo Base Layer houses a bottle up to 650ml in volume centrally on the mid-chest. Proven to save over 5W at 32kph.

As a secondary benefit, the pocket also allows ice packs to be securely fixed close to the torso to help with cooling in high temperatures.

Is this product UCI legal?

To be honest we aren't sure. It should be, so long as the pocket is used to store nutrition, or a race radio etc. It will not be legal if it's only use is to hold an aerodynamic fairing

How does it work?

Placing a volume high on the chest helps to direct airflow away from the absomen and around the hips when in an aero position, reducing your drag. In an very upright position, the volume on the chest doesnt help to reduce your drag but it also doesn't increase it.

What should i put in the pocket?

Do not put anything hard or sharp that could be dangerous in a crash in the posket. Only use it for nutrition, hydration or other items that are legal to carry in a race.
